We're Bryan and Kristen - your market gardeners in Murphy.

What is market-gardening? When people think of farming, they think of: large machinery, rows of single crops, and acres upon acres. As opposed to this concept, market gardening is a small-scale farming technique that uses hand tools - instead of large machines, rows of diverse crops (including those beneficial to the local environment) - instead of single crops, and land that is conducive to pedestrians - instead of tons of acreage and large machines.  The goal of market gardening is to provide the most nutrient rich and delicious produce available to local consumers all while being beneficial to the environment. 

Our practices include...

• no pesticide use
• no herbicide use
• organic composting
• gardening techniques with hand tools only
• no destructive land practices 
• beautifying the land with native perennials and fruit trees
• adding and amending the soil with organic matter only 

Every year, we test different varieties for flavor, durability, and productivity. For this reason, our quantity of produce and availability is limited at the time. We will post what we have when it's available and hope you enjoy whatever is in season.
